WUFI workshops - computer modeling of hygrothermal (moisture and heat) transfer through walls and roofs.

The next WUFI Pro workshops will be held on

WUFI Pro is the beginning software that models individual walls and roofs, enabling the user to select the building location, the direction of the weather, etc. This version enables the user to copy material properties and modify the database. This class is the prerequisite for WUFI Plus, WUFI 2D, and the annual WUFI Users Conference. Students receive an 8-week temporary license.

The workshops provide:

• Basic building envelope design principles
• Heat and mass transfer fundamentals
• Validation of modern hygrothermal simulation tools
• Necessary input data: where can I get them and what accuracy is required?
• The Do’s and Don’ts of WUFI-ORNL
• What do the results tell me – performance predicting
• Mold growth predictions – new post-processing modules
• Development and future extensions of WUFI-ORNL, future standards and guidelines

The next WUFI Advanced workshop will be held on

The advanced workshop is for previous WUFI graduates or students with equivalent experience in modeling.

This is a 3-day workshop consisting of:
• WUFI 1D Advanced Workshop,
• WUFI-Plus,
• WUFI-2D

The next WUFI Trainer Workshop will be held on

There will be a workshop to train trainers who wish to become an ORNL-certified instructor for WUFI-ORNL seminars.
