WUFI 2D Example |
This introduction will show you how to model a building component in WUFI 2D, how to specify boundary, surface transfer and initial
conditions, how to perform the calculation and how to analyse the results. As an example illustrating each step, we will analyse the hygrothermal behavior of a concrete ceiling supported by a brick wall with exterior insulation. This postprocessor demonstrates how simple it is to integrate a postprocessor into WUFI.
It only displays the data it receives from WUFI; it does not perform any evaluation.
Instructions and documentation are included. Download the file Example4PostProc.zip (579 KB) and unzip it into the desired folder. Edit the file ID_100.ini with a text editor, entering the paths to the current location of the postprocessor and its program icon, and then copy the file into WUFI's PostProc folder. Weather file list for |
This *.KMZ file displays the locations of the weather files registered in WUFI's database by feeding them to
Google Earth (which you must have installed). Some of these weather files are included with WUFI; the others must be purchased from the respective vendor, but they can then immediately be used for WUFI calculations, without further configuration. A click on one of the WUFI icons will display some information about the respective weather file. Download the file WUFI Weather Data.kmz (147 KB) and run it with a double-click. Weather data |
The 1991 weather data measured in Holzkirchen can be considered representative for Holzkirchen climate
conditions. They are included in the WUFI installation packages, but IBP also offers them separately
for general purposes. Download the file ibp1991.zip (260 kB) and unzip it. |

HygroApprox |
The software tool HygroApprox allows simple approximation of certain hygrothermal material parameters
from standard parameters. The current version offers approximation of the liquid transport coefficients
Dw and of the moisture storage function. The compressed archive hygroapprox.zip (354 kB) contains the program and two sample data sets. (Sorry - currently in German only and no documentation yet.) |
