There are two problems with the moisture storage function of the Limestone in the Generic North America Database: (a) The moisture contents for relative humidities below 70.3% have been set to zero. This is indeed what the used source (ASHRAE Report 1018-RP) indicates, but it does not make sense from a physical point of view, and it produces convergence problems in WUFI. (b) The moisture content for 99.93% and the free saturation in the database are too low by a factor 10. The following provisional moisture storage function, created by fitting a model function to the measured values, may be used until the database will be revised:

If in a project the rain water absorption factor has been set to "No absorption" and the project is saved,
then, when the project file is opened again, the drop-down box will still say "No absorption", but the rain absorption
factor in the edit box will be set to the default value of 0.7 and the calculation will be done with rain absorbed. The
option "No absorption" must be re-selected in order to switch rain absorption off. The error only occurs for the first project opened after WUFI has started. [07 May 2008] Too fast-paced clicking in the Quick Graphs may occasionally lock up the program. [08 Feb 2007] When saving very large project files (*.WUG) WUFI may occasionally freeze, so that it can only be terminated through the task manager. Since this problem only occurs sporadically and cannot be experimentally reproduced, the reason for this problem could not yet be determined. [19 Feb 2003] (Note: the new project file structure introduced in WUFI 5 should have fixed this problem.) The materials EX-Brick, FA-Brick and HD-Brick in the database are: EX = extruded solid brick, FA = solid brick produced by the Falkenlöwe company, hand-crafted following historical methods, HD = solid brick, produced in 1900 in Vienna by Heinrich Drasche company.
