Laboratory spectrometer tests
Spectral measurements in the laboratory are carried out on homogeneous small (e.g. 5 x 5 cm²) transparent and opaque
samples.
- Wavelength range of solar radiation 250-2500 nm (ultraviolet, visible, near infrared) by a grid spectrometer
- Wavelength range of thermal radiation 2500-50000 (infrared, heat radiation) by a Fourier interferometer
Examples are:
- Thin layered, coated glazing
- Foils, membranes
- Paint coats
Using the spectral data the radiation properties are calculated according to national and international standards
(e.g. solar range: DIN EN 410, thermal range: DIN EN 674).
